12. - 13. November - Belgrade
NetWorking has started!
The first regional meeting aimed at building regional excellence in social identity research took place on 12th and 13th November at Faculty of Philosophy University of Belgrade. It brought together researchers from the region (Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Kosovo*, Macedonia, Serbia), as well as researchers dealing with social identities and intergroup relations from Israel and Belgium. The meeting was organized as part of the project „Building Regional Excellence in Social Identity Research“ which is supported by Regional Research Promotion Programme (RRPP).
The meeting was a great chance to exchange research findings from post-conflict societies, and zoom in the similarities and differences between them. The researchers also took the opportunity to discuss how to create sustainable network (further joint research, funding opportunities, building an online platform for exchange of resources etc…) and how to translate the social identity research findings into societal interventions.
